Terms of Use

1. The service

This English text is a translation provided for convenience. If it differs from the Greek text, the Greek text prevails.

Car For Sale Cyprus (carforsalecyprus.com — “the Platform”) is an online car classifieds platform for the Cyprus market. The Platform brings sellers and buyers together; it does not take part in transactions, is not a party to any sale and does not guarantee the condition, legality or accuracy of the details of the vehicles advertised.

By using the Platform you accept these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

2. Accounts & login

• You can create an account with email & password, with a verified mobile number (via an SMS code) or by logging in with Facebook / Google.
• Your mobile number serves as your identity: one verified number corresponds to one account.
• You are responsible for keeping your password and device secure, and for all activity on your account.
• You must be of legal age to enter into contracts and must provide truthful details.
• We reserve the right to suspend or delete accounts that breach these terms or the law.

3. Listings & content

• Listings must concern real vehicles that you are entitled to sell, with truthful and accurate details (price, mileage, condition, history).
• The following are prohibited: misleading or false listings, stolen vehicles, tampered mileage, spam, duplicate listings, offensive or illegal content, and photos that do not match the vehicle or that infringe third-party copyright.
• By posting content you grant us a non-exclusive licence to display it on the Platform (and in share previews, e.g. social media cards). You remain the owner of your content.
• Listings stay active with no time limit (unless a different policy is announced) and can be renewed or withdrawn by the seller at any time.
• We reserve the right to remove or reject listings that breach these terms, without notice.

4. Transactions between users

All communication, negotiation and transactions take place directly between buyer and seller, at their own responsibility. We recommend: having the vehicle inspected by a mechanic, verifying the ownership documents and avoiding deposits paid remotely. The Platform is not liable for any loss arising from transactions between users.

5. Communication & messages

• The Platform offers in-app messaging between users. Phone numbers are hidden and revealed with a button, subject to a usage limit to protect against abuse.
• Sending unsolicited messages (spam), harassment, scams and collecting other users’ contact details for purposes other than buying and selling are prohibited.

6. Payments & paid services

Posting listings is free for private sellers. We offer optional paid services:

• Pro subscription (for dealers/professionals): unlimited listings, a premium dealership profile and additional tools.
• Listing promotions (e.g. bumping to the top, a “featured” badge).
• Wallet: a prepaid balance you can use for the services above.

Card payments are processed securely by the provider Stripe; we do not store card details. Prices are shown on the Platform and any VAT is specified at payment.

• The Pro subscription may be a one-off period or renew automatically (by card). You can cancel automatic renewal at any time from your account; the current period stays active until it ends.
• As these are digital services provided immediately, amounts corresponding to a period/promotion that has already started are not refunded, unless the law provides otherwise.

7. Reviews & feedback

We may ask you for a review or feedback about your experience. Reviews must be truthful and fair. They are published only with your consent and after moderation; we reserve the right not to publish, or to remove, content that is offensive, misleading or illegal.

8. Advertising

The Platform displays third-party advertisements (e.g. Google AdSense) to fund its operation. Advertisers are solely responsible for the content of their advertisements. See the Cookie Policy.

9. Intellectual property

The software, design, logos and content of the Platform (other than user content) are protected by intellectual property rights. Bulk data extraction (scraping) or automated collection without written permission is prohibited.

10. Limitation of liability

The Platform is provided “as is”. We make every reasonable effort to ensure availability and accuracy, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from the use of the Platform.

11. Reporting content

Every listing has a “Report” button. We review reports and remove content that breaches these terms or the law. For urgent matters use the contact form.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. Continuing to use the Platform after changes means you accept the new terms. Significant changes will be announced on the Platform.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Cyprus. The courts of Nicosia have jurisdiction. For any question: Contact.
